JD Sports upbeat on profit as consumers spend more during holidays -Breaking

This was due to robust demand over Black Friday and Christmas and increased apparel spending by U.S. customers.
Britain’s largest retailer of sportswear, it sells brands like Nike Puma, Adidas (OTC :), and NYSE: (NYSE:) anticipate headline pretax profit at least 875 million Pounds ($1.19 Billion) for the fiscal year that ends Jan. 29, which is higher than current market expectations (810 million Pounds).
The company had previously forecast a headline annual pretax profit of at minimum 750million pounds.
