Foxconn India’s iPhone plant restarts production after Dec protests -Breaking

The official of the company said that this was about three weeks since it had been closed due to worker sickness protests.
An official from the company spoke on behalf of Reuters, stating that the factory reopened after one shift with 120 workers.
Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu’s capital, Chennai is home to the plant. It employs approximately 17,000 workers. However, the plant was shut down on December 18 when 250 people fell ill with food poisoning. This sparked protests.
Officials stated that full production will resume in two months.
