Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

Frankfurt closed with an additional 0.43%. The index rose 0.68% and gained 0.38%.

RWE AG ST O.N. were the top performers in the session. (DE:), rose 2.02%, or 0.700 point to trade at 35.290 by the closing. Vonovia SE (+DE:), which gained 1.82%, or 0.85 points, to close at 47.68 Deutsche Post AG NA O.N. In late trade, the DE: was up 1.70% (or 0.920 points) to 54.910

They were also the session’s worst performers Delivery Hero AG (DE:), fell 13.24%, or 13.00 points, to trade at 85.20 by the close. Continental AG O.N. (DE:), fell 1.40%, or 1.34 points, to finish at 94.24 Covestro AG (DE:), was at 55.600 with a drop of 1.00%, or 0.560 point.

Top performers in the MDAX were TeamViewer AG (DE:) which rose 14.94% to 13.28, K&S AG (DE:) which was up 3.25% to settle at 16.975 and Rational AG (DE:) which gained 3.21% to close at 835.80.

Deutsche Lufthansa AG, (DE:), which fell 1.82% to 7.117 late trade was the worst performer. Hugo Boss AG NA O.N. (DE:), which fell 1.77% to 50.940, and AUTO1Group SE (DE:), which dropped 1.73% to 17.00 by the end.

TeamViewer AG (DE) was the top performer on the TecDAX, rising 14.94% to 13.28 Suse SA (DE:), which rose 4.71%, to settle at 35.60 Eckert & Ziegler AG O.N. O.N.

These were the worst performers Morphosys AG O.N. (DE:) which was down 2.30% to 31.800 in late trade, S&T AG (DE:) which lost 1.45% to settle at 14.28 and Software AG (DE:), which fell 1.08% to 33.000 by the end.

The Frankfurt Stock Exchange saw rising stocks surpassing declining stocks by 428, 281 and 72 respectively.

Shares in K&S AG (DE:) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 3.25% or 0.535 to 16.975. AUTO1 Group SE shares (DE:), fell to their lowest levels in 1.73%, or 0.30 to 17.00.

The, which tracks the implied volatility for DAX options was at 2.94% lower than 17.18.

The February delivery of Gold Futures was up 0.4%, or 7.95, to $1826.45 per troy ounce. Other commodities traded included Crude oil, which rose 1.75 or 2.15% to reach $82.97/barrel, and March Brent oil, which rose 1.52 or 1.27 for $84.99/barrel.

EUR/USD was up 0.677% at 1.1441, while EUR/GBP was up 0.167% at 0.8347.

At 94.985, the US Dollar Index Futures fell 0.67%.
