Ronnie Spector, leader of the music group Ronettes, has died at 78 -Breaking

(Reuters) – Ronnie Spector, a singer from the 1960s songs “Be My Baby”, “Baby, You Love You” and others, has died. Her family released a statement Wednesday.

According to the statement, Spector, the leader of Ronettes’ girl group, was surrounded by her family, and she died in Jonathan’s arms, following a short battle with cancer.

Ronnie had a twinkle in the eye and lived her life with a spunky attitude. The family stated that she was full of love and gratitude.

They added that “her joyful sound, playful nature, and magical presence will continue to live on in everyone who heard, saw, or knew her.”
