U.S. interest rate hikes could start in March -Breaking

(Reuters). – San Francisco Federal Reserve Bank President Mary Daly called inflation “uncomfortably” high Wednesday and said that the time has come for the U.S. central banking to begin removing some of its policy flexibility.

Daly stated that he sees rate hikes starting as soon as March, in an interview with the PBS NewsHour.

A government report released Wednesday morning showed that U.S. consumer price rose by 7% in December compared to a year ago. This is the highest pace since nearly 40 years.
