U.S. Capitol Police arrest Michigan woman with guns -Breaking

WASHINGTON (Reuters), – The U.S. Capitol Police has arrested a Michigan woman for illegally parking in front their headquarters, with a loaded shotgun along with three other weapons. Police said that the arrest was made on Thursday.

Police said that Kery Lynn McAttee, a woman from Kery Lynn, was taken into custody Wednesday. She was charged with unlawfully possessing a weapon and possession of unregistered ammo, as well as unlawful transport of a semiautomatic rifle.

Capitol Police asked her to discuss information about the Jan. 6, 2017 attack on the U.S. Capitol in which supporters of Donald Trump attacked the Capitol in an effort to stop lawmakers from certifying Joe Biden’s victory in the presidential election.

Police released a statement saying that there was no evidence to suggest the suspect, aged 58, came here to speak with officers. The conversation was confidential, but they said that the woman wasn’t on Capitol Police’s file.

McAttee’s truck had ammunition, unloaded rifles in the.22 and.50 calibers, muzzle loadsers, loaded shotguns, and pellet guns, according to police.
