Germany stocks mixed at close of trade; DAX up 0.13% -Breaking

Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

Frankfurt closed with the index rising 0.13% and falling 0.26%. The index also fell by 1.73%.

They were the top performers at the session Daimler AG NA O.N. (DE): The close traded at 75.430 with a gain of 2.74%. Meanwhile, Continental AG O.N. O.N. Zalando SE Late trade saw the DE: index rise 2.47%, or 1.62 points, to 67.24

Sartorius AG VZO O.N. was the worst performer of the session. (DE:), fell 5.84%, or 29.700 point to trade at 479.100 by the end. Qiagen NV (DE) fell 3.87%, or 1.690 point to finish at 41.960. Merck KGaA was down 3.18%, or 6.45 to 196.55.

Cancom SE O.N. was the top performer on MDAX. (DE:) which rose 5.75% to 58.520, K&S AG (DE:) which was up 3.98% to settle at 17.650 and Hugo Boss AG NA O.N. (DE:), which gained 3.93% and closed at 52.940.

Carl Zeiss Meditec AG, (DE:), which fell 6.09% to 152.575 in late trading was the worst performer. Nemetschek AG O.N. O.N. Evotec AG O.N. O.N.

Cancom SE O.N. was the top performer on the TecDAX. (DE:), which rose by 5.75%, to 58.520 Aixtron SE (DE:), which rose 2.75%, settled at 20.010 Nordex SE O.N. SE O.N.

SMA Solar Technology AG, DE: was the worst performer. It fell 8.6% to 33.100 in trade late. Carl Zeiss Meditec AG AG (DE) lost 6.9% to settle at 152.575. Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (DE:), which fell 5.84% to 479.100 by the close.

By 361 to 334, rising stocks outnumbered those on Frankfurt Stock Exchange, and the 82-year end was unchanged.

Shares in K&S AG (DE:) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 3.98% or 0.675 to 17.650. SMA Solar Technology AG’s shares (DE:), fell by 8.06%, or 2.900 to 33.000.

The, which is used to measure implied volatility for DAX options was lower by 2.15% and 17.32.

For February delivery, Gold Futures fell 0.38% to $65.95 and traded at $1820.35 per troy-ounce. Other commodities traded included Crude oil, which fell 0.24 or 0.29 to reach $82.40/barrel, and March Brent oil, which fell 0.04 or 0.05 to trade at $84.63/barrel.

EUR/USD rose by 0.19%, to 1.1464, while EUR/GBP climbed 0.1% to 0.8358.

US Dollar Index Futures were down 0.4% to 94.770
