U.S. arms control group makes Mexico minister ‘person of year’ after gun lawsuit -Breaking

It was doing so in response to a lawsuit against several American arms producers.

Arms Control Association announced that Foreign Minister Marcelo Embrard won over the Government of President Andres Manual Lopez Obrador in an eight-person field. The result was determined by an internet poll which attracted thousands from all corners of the globe.
Daryl Kimball (executive director, Arms Control Association) stated that the lawsuit brought by the Mexican foreign ministry against U.S. firearms firms is an important way to hold the rogue actors responsible for the violence caused in small arms trade across international borders.
Arms Control Association submitted the nominees to the annual contest.
Ebrard announced the award through Twitter (NYSE 🙂 and expressed gratitude for the hard work of the legal department at his ministry.
Mexican authorities have threatened to prosecute gun makers for selling guns that violate the Constitution and are lawfully sold in a $10-billion lawsuit.
