Apple to require employee proof of COVID-19 booster -The Verge -Breaking

(Reuters) – Apple Inc (NASDAQ:) will require retail and corporate employees to provide proof of a COVID-19 booster shot, The Verge reported https://www.theverge.com/2022/1/15/22885181/apple-vaccine-covid-19-booster-shot-employees on Saturday, citing an internal email.

According to the report, employees not being vaccinated and those without proof will have to take negative COVID-19 test in order for them entry into Apple workplaces. It was unclear whether testing is required for both retail and corporate employees, according to the Verge.

According to The Verge, the memo stated that a booster shot was now required to maintain your COVID-19 vaccinations to prevent severe diseases.

Apple has not yet responded to my request for comment.

Numerous American companies have increased their COVID-19 regulations, mandating vaccinations and delaying back office plans due to the Omicron variant increasing the number of infections in the United States.

Facebook’s parent company Meta Platforms has mandated that all employees returning to work receive COVID-19 booster shots. The delay also meant that the reopening of American offices was delayed to March 28 from the Jan. 31 plan.

Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ) Inc. announced that Google was mandating temporary weekly COVID-19 screenings for those who enter its U.S. offices.

The Information reported that Amazon.com Inc. (NASDAQ) had offered its U.S. Warehouse workers $40 in exchange for a booster shot.
