Is Walmart gearing up to enter the Metaverse? -Breaking

Walmart Inc., a retail giant (NYSE:) Inc. seems to be preparing for entry into the Metaverse. Patent filings indicate that Walmart plans to develop its own cryptocurrency and NFT collection.

On Dec. 30, the multinational retailer filed several brand new trademarks at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. They were unnoticed until January 16, however. Report by CNBC shed more light on Walmart’s ambitions.
