Valentino reorganises structure, creates two new management roles -Breaking

MILAN, (Reuters) – Valentino, the Italian fashion house said Monday that it had reorganised finance and operations to create two different units for its business and control.

Mayhoola Qatari Investment Vehicle controlled the company. It said that it has created two roles, a global chief financial officer and a chief operations logistics officer. These new positions will be filled by Giuseppe De Mori, and Alberto Fasanotti.

Each area will report to Jacopo Ventureni, the Chief Executive.

De Mori will be responsible for the Maison’s industrial strategy, which includes coordination of production and logistics on a global scale. According to a statement, De Mori will be responsible for digitalizing internal processes and sustainability.

Venturini stated in the statement that they are focused on the “next chapter” of the brand and were aiming to streamline the business, reposition Valentino as the oldest Italian Maison de Couture.

The luxury group, he said, was “charting an exciting new path for the future.”

Valentino Garavani founded the fashion house in 1960. The company expects to see 2021 sales reach pre-pandemic levels. Sales in the first six months of this year increased 64% following the COVID-19 disaster.
