Elon Musk will be visiting Tesla’s Berlin factory (NASDAQ:), the CEO tweeted Tuesday. This follows speculation from Twitter (NYSE:), that he would visit Germany in February.
“I obv can’t comment on every rumor, but this isn’t true. Musk replied to an article published by Drive Tesla CA, which mentioned a tweet that claimed he visited Berlin on January 16.
Musk also tweeted that the rumours about his online travel plans were becoming “security issues” in response to Sawyer Merritt’s apology.
Musk stated last year that he believed the Berlin factory would have its license to start mass production of Model Y cars in December. However, bureaucratic obstacles and a continuing court case regarding the factory’s use of water have impeded the process.
The court will hold the first hearing on February 11, but Joerg Steinbach, regional finance minister to Germany told Tagesspiegel that production licenses could be issued before this case is resolved.
Tesla could not be reached immediately for comment.
