AXIS Bank Ltd., which gained 1.76% (or 12.55 points) to trade at 725.20 by the close of trading on the session were the top performers. Meanwhile, HDFC Bank Ltd (NS:) Added 0.51%, or 7.75 points, to reach 1529.25 ICICI Bank Ltd In late trade, NS: was up 0.46 percent or 3.80 point to 823.10
Tata Consumer Products Ltd. (NS:) was the worst performer of the session, falling 4.40% or 33.65 point to trade at 731.45 by the end. Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (NS) fell 4.24%, or 350.35 point to close at 7915.15 UltraTech Cement Ltd (NS) fell 3.81%, or 300.10 point to 7570.00
AXIS Bank Ltd. soared 1.83% to 725.60. HDFC Bank Ltd. (BO 🙂 rose 0.53% and settled at 1529.60. ICICI Bank Ltd. (BO 🙂 gained 0.48% to end at 823.35.
Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(BO:), which fell 4.05% to 7930.00 late trade, UltraTech Cement Ltd. (BO;) which dropped 3.83% to settle on 7566.25, and Tech Mahindra Ltd. (BO) were the worst performers at the close.
By 1396 to 412, declining stocks outnumbered the advancing on the India National Stock Exchange. 25 ended unchanged. On the Bombay Stock Exchange 2205 declined and 1104 advanced while 80 ended unchanged.
The implied volatility index of Nifty 50 options was up 6.5% to 17.7800.
