Texas synagogue hostage-taking suspect entry in U.S. did not raise security flags

NEW YORK, (Reuters) – The Texas hostage-taking suspect in the Texas Synagogue Hostage-Taking Suspect was checked against U.S. Government databases. However, it didn’t show any derogatory data. Jen Psai, spokesperson for White House said Tuesday.

Malik Faisal Akram (the suspected gunman that held four persons hostage in a Dallas synagogue) was identified by British intelligence. The BBC reported that he was not considered a threat to America at the time he traveled there.
