JB Hunt reported earnings per share at $2.28 on $3.5B in revenue. Investing.com polled analysts and predicted EPS at $2.01 for revenue of $3.28B.

JB Hunt shares fell 1.91% over the first of the year but are still lower than its 52 week peak of $208.87, which was set January 4. They are outperforming the S&P 500 which is down 3.87% from the start of the year.

After-hours trading saw JB Hunt share prices rise by 1.66% following the report.

JB Hunt’s earnings beat was achieved by Cintas, December 22nd 2021. They reported EPS at $2.76 per share on $1.92B in revenue, while forecasts were for EPS at $2.65 per share on $1.91B.

Delta Air Lines exceeded expectations Thursday, posting a quarter-end EPS $0.22 on $9.47B in revenue. That compares with the $0.1633 forecasted for $9.02B revenue.
