LONDON, (Reuters) – The Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey stated on Thursday that the financial markets expect energy prices to decline more slowly than they did a few months back. This could increase price pressures.

Tensions between Russia, Ukraine and other countries are also an issue.

Bailey stated that “that is a very serious concern” to lawmakers of parliament’s Treasury Committee.

If you consider the relation between transitory effects and second-round effects that could make it more long, that is again a source for pressure in this story. That is something to be concerned about.
