(Reuters) – McDonald’s Corp (NYSE) announced Thursday that it would expand its test of McPlant burgers made with plant-based ingredients. It created the McPlant burgers in collaboration with Beyond Meat (NASDAQ) Inc.

McDonald’s plans to offer the burger in 600 McDonald’s locations around San Francisco Bay, Dallas-Fort Worth and Arlington starting February 14. Beyond Meat shares rose about 6% prior to the announcement.
