German exporters start year in hopeful mood

Nearly all sectors expect growth, according to the Ifo economic institution on Wednesday.
The Ifo barometer of export hopes rose to 17.4 in January from 12.9 in December. This is its highest point since September 2013.
Clemens Fuest, President of Ifo stated that German manufacturing was beginning the year in a positive mood.
