After Tuesday’s vote by the San Jose City Council, the mayor stated that funds from the annual fee and liability insurance would be used to fund “evidence-based measures to reduce gun violence”
“Thanks to my council peers who continue to demonstrate their commitment to decreasing gun violence and its destruction in our community,” said Mayor Sam Liccardo in a statement.
