BERLIN, (Reuters) – Germany will be hosting the major finance meeting of its presidency of Group of Seven economic power from May 18-20. This was reported by the Rheinische Post newspaper on Wednesday.

The challenges this year are especially great. Christian Lindner, the Finance Minister, stated that inflation is increasing and debt has increased.

He said that the G7 countries play a unique role in stabilizing stability. We must be vigilant about sustainable public finances, both nationally and internationally.

The meeting would be attended by finance ministers from all seven G7 countries – Canada, the United States of America, Japan, Germany and France – near Bonn.

It was also reported that the European Central Bank president and representatives from the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development were expected to attend.

Lindner stated that fiscal stability is essential for innovation and investment.

He added, “This will be the only way to grow out of this crisis globally and master future tasks for climate protection and digitalisation.”
