Anthem’s fourth quarter report was published Wednesday by Investing.com. It beat analysts’ forecasts but had revenue that was below expectation.

Anthem reported earnings per share at $5.14 on $36.02 billion in revenue. Investing.com polled analyst to predict EPS of $5.11 based on $36.49B in revenue.

Anthem shares fell 5% over the first year. However, they are only 6.56% off their 52-week high at $470.02 on December 30, 2021. They are outperforming the S&P 500 which is down 8.6% from the start of the year.

Anthem’s report follows an earnings beat by J&J on Tuesday, who reported EPS of $2.13 on revenue of $24.8B, compared to forecasts EPS of $2.12 on revenue of $25.28B.

UnitedHealth beat all expectations with fourth quarter earnings per share of $4.48 for revenue $73.74B. This compares to the forecast of $4.3 for revenue $72.98B.
