Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

The additional 2.23% was added at the Tel Aviv close.

Nova (TASE) was the best performer of the session, rising 4.96% to 1780 points and trading at 37660 by the close. Alony Hetz Properties and Investments Ltd. (TASE 🙂 increased 4.05% to finish at 5930, while Israel Discount Bank Ltd. was up 3.91% to 2125 by late trade.

These were the worst performers of the session. Ormat Technologies TASE:, which dropped 3.75% (870 points) to close at 22330. TASE: Liveperson declined 2.05%, or 192 point to close at 9152 OPKO Health Inc TASE: was at 970, down 1.56%.

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange saw rising stocks surpassing declining ones by 421 percent to 92 percent, while 17 ended the same.

TASE: shares of OPKO Health Inc. (TASE) dropped to 52 week lows. They lost 1.56%, or 15 to 970.

March crude oil was 2.4% higher or 2.17 at $87.77/barrel. Brent oil rose by 2.25%, or 1.96, to $89.14 per barrel in commodity trading. Meanwhile, the February Gold Futures contract dropped 1.23%, or 22.85, to trade at $1829.65 an troy ounce.

USD/ILS increased by 0.11% at 3.1757 while EUR/ILS decreased by 0.04% at 3.5828.

US Dollar Index Futures were up 0.5% to 96.075
