Brazil sees 2022 public debt as high as 6.4 trillion reais -Breaking

BRASILIA (Reuters – Brazil’s current public debt is likely to rise to between 6 trillion reais or 6.4 trillion reais this year, an increase of 14% over last year’s 5.614 trillion reais ($1.03 TRILLION), according to the Treasury on Wednesday.

According to the Treasury, the Treasury expects Brazil’s average debt maturity to rise to 3.8 to 4.2 years this year, from 3.8 in 2021. The Treasury also predicts that the proportion of Brazil’s maturing debt over the next twelve months will be 19% to 23%, as opposed to 21%.
