The Sandbox, a virtual world project announced the launch of its metaverse accelerator program. This will invest $50 million in startups to promote the open metaverse. Brinc, a venture accelerator company that specializes in blockchain startups, has partnered with Animoca Brands to launch the program. The goal is to reach 30-40 new companies each year.

Each project can receive up to $250,000 investment from the Sandbox Metaverse Accelerator program. Additionally, top performing projects will be given additional incentives. The bonuses include The Sandbox (SAND) digital asset and LAND, digital real estate within The Sandbox’s metaverse. The best performing startups also get access to high-profile mentors and additional investment grants.
