Fractally, a combined decentralized exchange and social media platform- Fractally hires John Williamson from violet.garden.
- The vision of Fractally will be revealed on February 22nd at 2:22 UTC. A YouTube premiere and white paper are also part of the presentation.
- Fractally solves many of the problems with Steem’s token-weighted voting system.
Fractally is a mix of a digital exchange and social media platform. The platform also features a smart contract platform that offers high performance, decentralized governance.
Fractally’s founder asserts that he was one of the founding members of most of the tools and crypto terms that are used today and the Fractally platform was built on the premise and vision of all the lessons learned from his first two blockchains — BitShares and Steem.
In 2013, he says he coined the phrase “Decentralized Autonomous Company” as a metaphor for better understanding Bitcoin’s economics and building BitShares. It gained popularity and was named the DAO.
By using the insights learned from Eden which were outlined in the founder’s book, “More Equal Animals – The Subtle art of True Democracy” published in 2020, Fractally’s founder claims it overcame many of the issues with Steem’s token-weighted voting method which is one out of the first two blockchains developed by the founder.
He claims that in 2021 they have put the fractal governance process through the test. They launched Eden on EOS, and had three elections with hundreds. Violet.garden, an EOS-based social blogging network, was able to exploit Eden users’ strong individuality to build Universal Basic Income and a Sybil-resistant blogging platform.
BitShares is the original DeFi platform and continues to be one of the most decentralized on the market. As a result, no smart contract writing is required to produce, distribute, and exchange tokens with BitShares’ easy user interface.
Steem on the other was the original blockchain-based social network. It paid users to post, making it one of the most popular 1000 websites worldwide (according Alexa). Hive.blog, however, is the current home to the original Steem community.
Decentralized exchange and social networking network Violet.garden announced John Williamson was hired to create a well-regulated social platform for EOS.
Fractally, who is also the EOS Network Foundation’s financial supporter, has taken over the maintenance of Mandel, the community-driven EOSIO fork. This is possible because the Fractally team also includes some of the original EOSIO developer.
Fractally hosts a special event that will reveal all details about the network. Fractally will launch its YouTube on February 22, at 2:12 UTC, and publish the Fractally whitepaper.
Fractally intends to make an EOS app that’s equally powerful, easier-to-use, and incorporates new technologies in automated market makers. Fractally plans to add incentivized blogging into EOS, while also limiting abuse using insights from Eden.
