BEIJING, (Reuters) – The daily COVID-19 infection rate among Beijing Winter Olympics athletes and officials jumped from 2 to 1 on Friday. Games organisers have warned that there will be more in the coming days.

Infected athletes, officials, and 36 other Games personnel were discovered. 29 of them arrived at Beijing Airport with the virus, while seven others had already been infected.
