According to the delivery company, it will suspend domestic FedEx express freight in its economy including FedEx two day freight and FedEx three day freight.
FedEx said that the international economy freight pick up services which were halted previously, have been resumed on Monday.
The company warned last month that Omicron-related cases were rising and would cause a shortage of staff as well as delays in aircraft shipments.
Many U.S. airlines had to cancel their flights due to severe winter storms and shortages of staff.
A Reuters count shows that the number of U.S. deaths from coronavirus rose by at most 2,266 to 890,049 on Monday. This is compared to 887.783 days ago.
