© Reuters. KYIV (Reuters – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zeleskiy stated Wednesday that his government has calmed the markets which are concerned about a Russian military attack against Ukraine and that the hryvnia was recovering from a recent drop.
He said alongside Mark Rutte, the Dutch Prime Minister, that he had taken numerous steps to stabilize the hryvnia and calm the markets. “I am able to responsibly say that we can see today that the national currency has been strengthening.”
Zelenskiy’s government criticized alarmist Western statements about a Russian invasion imminent, saying that such warnings had shattered confidence in Ukraine’s economy.
