LONDON (Reuters). Credit Suisse (SIX.) A senior Oliver Wyman adviser has been appointed vice-chairman of capital markets and investment banking, as per a memo that Reuters obtained.
The appointment was confirmed by a bank spokesperson.
Following a number of scandals, and an overhaul in its leadership, the Swiss bank has named Michael Bonacker as the Frankfurt-based position. In an attempt to improve Credit Suisse’s investment banking business, he will be a part of the Client Advisory Group.
Credit Suisse has had a series of recent hires since January’s abrupt departure of Antonio Horta Osorio, its chairman.
Bonacker reports to David Wah (co-head global banking) and Frank Heitmann (CEO Germany). He will be primarily focused on clients within the German-speaking regions and Northern Europe.
Bonacker also led corporate banking and asset management at BHFBANK earlier in his career. McKinsey (DE:), Commerzbank (DE) and BHF-BANK were also his roles. Deutsche Bank (DE:), Lehman Brothers, Nomura and the memo states.
