For $80K, Yield Guild Games acquires assets from Solarbots RPG

YGG’s latest purchase is that of $80k worth of assets from Solarbots. According to the developers, it is a 2D role-playing game (RPG), but that is only a loose description. This description can refer to anything, from an MMO RPG to simply a social scenario simulator with RPG elements.

What I personally enjoy is game’s visual style. Solarbots is pixel-art inspired by traditional indie games. The visuals somewhat remind me of dark metroidvania game ‘Blasphemous.’

That being said, the developers of Solarbots have chosen to make their game the “right way.” The game is set to have both alpha and beta versions before crypto is implemented into the core gameplay. The alpha version will go live in the fourth quarter of 2022 and beta at the start of 2023. In the meantime, the game’s NFTs have already been listed on OpenSea.
