Google Cloud to detect crypto-mining malware on virtual machines -Breaking

It’s a shot in the arm for Google (NASDAQ:) Cloud users at risk of cryptocurrency mining attacks. The Google Cybersecurity Action Team (GCAT) has created a threat detection service to shield “poorly configured” accounts that attackers use to mine cryptocurrency.
Google Cloud published a blog posting revealing the Virtual Machine Threat Detection release (VMTD), in its Security Command Center(SCC). The VMTD is a tool that scans Google Cloud’s compute engines for threats. It detects crypto-mining and other malware inside virtual machines.
