Indonesia 2022 fiscal deficit seen narrowing further to 4% of GDP-Finance Minister -Breaking

JAKARTA (Reuters – Indonesia’s fiscal deficit will narrow to near 4% this upcoming year, compared to a forecast of a gap at 4.85%. This was stated by its finance minister on Wednesday in an investment forum.

Fiscal deficit last year was less than expected at 5.7%, which is 4.65% of GDP.

Sri Mulyani indrawati stated that tax laws passed late last ye will provide additional revenue for state coffers. It is expected that this will enable Indonesia to restore fiscal space and to prepare for possible shocks.
