Toyota says trucking protests force cuts to Canadian production -Breaking

WASHINGTON (Reuters). Toyota Motor (NYSE 🙂 Corp announced Wednesday that its Ontario-based auto plants would not produce any vehicles during the remaining week because of problems in supply due to COVID-19 trucking protests.

The company stated that Toyota faces shortages at its North American plants including Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada, due to severe weather, COVID and supply chain challenges.

Toyota produces the RAV4 model as well as its hybrid, as well as Lexus RX 350 (and RX 450h) at its Ontario plants.
