SHANGHAI, (Reuters) – Chinese electric car manufacturer Xpeng (NYSE 🙂 announced Thursday that it is expanding to Europe and aiming at the Swedish-and Dutch markets.

Norway has been Xpeng’s only foreign venture until now. It makes the P7 sedans and the G3 sport-utility cars, as well as P5 sedans. In late 2020, it began shipping cars to that country.

Xpeng stated in a statement that it would open a Stockholm store this week. It will also be partnering with Bilia, a local auto dealer.

The agreement also includes Emil Frey, the Dutch vehicle distributor from Switzerland. This unit will help develop and maintain its Dutch sales network and its retail outlets.

It stated that Xpeng will open a Dutch store next month.

Former leaders Alibaba He Xiaopeng is China’s seventh largest EV manufacturer and executive. He is currently developing intelligent-car technology, including a smart car cabin.
