(Reuters] Uber Technologies Inc said Thursday it expects to report around $5 Billion in adjusted profit by 2024. The company also intends to enhance algorithms and keep its costs down, in order win more customers.

Uber (NYSE) will announce an adjusted earnings before interest taxes, depreciation, and amortization of $5 billion. This measure excludes stock-based compensation. Chief Financial Officer Nelson Chai stated this at Uber’s initial investor day.

Chai indicated that gross bookings will be reported by the company at $165 billion and $175 million in 2024.

This outlook is comparable to an EBITDA loss adjusted of $0.8 Billion in 2021, and gross bookings at $90 billion.

Uber has revealed many strategies to grow and create new opportunities for business, including plans to partner with at least five long-term autonomous vehicles in the U.S. in 2022.
