Russia now has enough forces for Ukraine invasion -Breaking

WASHINGTON, (Reuters) – Russia has sufficient forces to launch a major military attack against Ukraine. An assault could start “anyday now,” Jake Sullivan, White House national security advisor said Friday.

Sullivan spoke at a White House briefing, but did not list any evidence. He said all Americans still living in Ukraine need to leave the country within 24 hours. He stated that an attack by the Russians could lead to an invasion of Ukraine. This would be disruptive for departures.

Sullivan stated that U.S. intelligence thinks Russian President Vladimir Putin might order an invasion prior to the Winter Olympics in Beijing. He also believes that a quick attack on Kyiv, the Ukrainian capital, is possible.

Sullivan spoke shortly after President Joe Biden had held a video call secure with transatlantic leaders in the White House Situation Room. They sought to unite against a worsening world.

Sullivan stated that it is still unclear whether Putin has given an order for an invasion to begin. He indicated that he believed Biden would call Putin to discuss the crisis soon.
