Airbus upbeat on freighter sales, plays down supply chain fears -Breaking

SINGAPORE (Reuters), Airbus expresses optimism about the sales of a new A350 freighter, after rival Boeing (NYSE 🙂 released a comparable cargo variant of its future 777X jetliner.

Christian Scherer, chief commercial officer, said that “Yes” you could expect more A350 freighter orders on the eve the Singapore Airshow. However, he declined to provide a timeframe.

When Scherer was asked if supplies of Russian titanium might be affected by sanctions resulting from tensions with Ukraine, Scherer said that he wasn’t concerned at all about the supply chain issues.
