(Reuters) – Senator Democrats and Banking Committee Members Jon Tester and Mark Warner said Monday they both voted to confirm President Joe Biden’s nominees for the Federal Reserve. Sarah Bloom Raskin is the Fed’s top banking regulator.

They spoke out ahead of Tuesday afternoon’s Banking Committee vote. The five Biden nominees for vice chair for supervision, Jerome Powell, are receiving varied support. Raskin was nominated for vice chair of supervision. He is likely to face the most narrow path to confirmation. It will require support from every Democrat in the tightly divided Senate.
