(Reuters) – Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway Inc (NYSE:) Inc announced Monday that it had added almost 14.7 Million shares to Activision Blizzard Inc. (NASDAQ:) in advance of Microsoft Corp The company will be bought by NASDAQ for $68.7 Billion
It also strengthened its standing in an energy giant. Chevron Corp (NYSE -) as it reduced its share in healthcare names like Bristol-Myers Squibb Co and Abbvie Inc in the December quarter.

Microsoft on Jan. 18 announced that it had acquired Activision Blizzard (Call of Duty) maker Activision Blizzard.
Investors carefully monitor Berkshire Investments to find out where Buffett’s investment managers Todd Combs or Ted Weschler believe value.
Although the filings don’t reveal who sold and bought what, Buffett tends to manage larger investments.
After being a net seller for much of 2021, Monday’s filing indicates that Berkshire is still reluctant to buy stocks.
Berkshire has seen its cash balance rise to $149.2 Billion as a result of Buffett’s six year drought when he bought large companies. This is despite the fact that Buffett had purchased stock buybacks totalling at least $21.9 Billion.
Berkshire should disclose additional information on its stock purchases, buybacks, and cash when it releases the year-end reports and Buffett’s annual shareholder letter.
Berkshire’s headquarters are in Omaha, Nebraska. Berkshire also has dozens of other businesses, including Geico auto insurance, the BNSF railroad and Dairy Queen ice-cream.
