AMSTERDAM. (Reuters). DSM, a Dutch specialty chemical maker, beat analyst estimates Tuesday by achieving a 13% rise in its fourth-quarter core profits to 440 million euro ($497.95million) as strong demand continued for its nutritional products despite the higher price.

A company-compiled poll showed that analysts had on average predicted that adjusted earnings before interest taxes depreciation, amortisation and amortization (EBITDA), would reach 424 million euros from 390 millions a year earlier.
