Huobi Incubator hosts the Second Cohort for Octopus Accelerator Program and Octopus Network, to support Web3 StartupsHuobi Incubator is the project incubator arm of Huobi Global. Today, it announced that it would co-host the second cohort for the Octopus Accelerator program with Web3 Scholarship, Octopus Network, and Octopus Network. This will allow the Octopus Network and Web3 Scholarship to support and improve the quality of Web3 projects and help to propel the existing Internet into the next phase.
In the past two decades, Internet technology has advanced by leaps and bounds, greatly changing users’ lives. However, the main drawback to the Web2 phase’s current stage is the fact that every value accessible was owned and controlled solely by Web2 social networking companies. This has led to privacy and data breaches. Web3 has been created in an attempt to overcome these problems. All these properties are in line with Huobi Incubator’s expectations for the future Internet.
Octopus Network is a multichain, interoperable cryptonetwork that allows for the launch and operation of Web3 Substrate-based applications-specific blockchains. It’s committed to promoting innovation in Web 3. The opening of the second cohort of the Octopus Accelerator Program follows the launch of the Program’s first cohort in December last year, where five projects received the Octopus Star Prize. DeBioNetwork, Myriad Social, and Myriad Social were among the winners. They have also launched mainnets and raised funds, making them pioneers within the Web3 space.
The success experienced by Octopus Network Accelerator’s pioneering cohort will continue as the program enters its second iteration. Carrying forward Octopus Network’s best-in-class mentorship standards and capabilities, all participating projects in the second cohort of the Octopus Accelerator Program will be offered online training courses. Octopus Network is also offering a live seminar to allow participants to communicate and have access to the best mentors in Web3 for new projects. Guy Oren (Co-Founder of Poolz Finance), Joao Leite Head at Polkastarter Research and Liam Cohen (founder and CMO) will all share their experience and offer professional guidance. All participants must start deploying their projects to the Octopus network by February 28th, 2022. Showcase Day will select the top five projects and award each $50,000 in grants. Additionally, Web3 Scholarship will grant an additional $12,500 to Huobi Incubator’s top-winning project.
Since its inception, Huobi Incubator is committed to funding projects within the Web3 industry. It has also partnered with five companies and organizations to create the Web3 Scholarship. Huobi Incubator believes in Web3 and has partnered with five companies to launch the Web3 Scholarship to support emerging projects. This will help to foster innovation in the next stage of the Internet.
