AMSTERDAM, (Reuters) – Ahold Delhaize reported Wednesday a strong quarter in the core U.S. markets and European markets. The COVID-19 pandemic prompted robust online sales.

In the same period, underlying operating income reached 838 million Euros, which was 820 million more than expected.
