Itau BBA predicts Brazilian fixed income issues to rise this year, M&A volume stable -Breaking

SAO PAULO (Reuters). Itau Unibanco Holding SA wholesale unit Itau BBA believes that Brazilian companies will be able to sell more equity and issue more fixed income instruments in the coming year, as they prepare for increased volatility.

Cristiano Guimaraes from Itau BBA, director of corporate and investment banking predicts a decline in equity issue volume and an increase in fixed income instrument sales this year. Guimaraes expects M&A volume to be stable in 2022 compared to last year, as Brazilian companies will use proceeds of large share issues last year to acquire rivals.
