Investing.com – Medtronic (NYSE:) Tuesday reported that the third quarter met analysts’ expectations and that revenue fell short of forecasts.

Medtronic posted earnings per share (EPS) of $1.37 for revenue $7.76B. Investing.com polled analysts and predicted EPS at $1.37 for revenue $7.88B.

Medtronic shares have increased 6% since the start of the year but are still below the 52-week high of $135.89, which was set September 9, 2021. They have outperformed the market, which is down 6.81% over the same period.

Medtronic reports on major healthcare industry earnings for this month

Medtronic’s report follows an earnings beat by J&J on January 25, who reported EPS of $2.13 on revenue of $24.8B, compared to forecasts EPS of $2.12 on revenue of $25.28B.

Roche Holding ADR met expectations with fourth quarter earnings per share of $1.29 on $17.54B in revenue, as compared to $1.29 forecasted on $17.1B revenue.
