This is a virtual world in which it hopes to have people work and play with its $299 Meta Quest 2 headset. Companies like Sony could attract those who are looking for a headset that connects seamlessly and can play the same games on their PlayStation consoles.

Sony’s VR headset needs a PlayStation in order to work. The $299 Meta Quest 2 connects to a PC for more power-intensive games, or it can be used wireless for tasks that are less demanding. The headset is not yet priced by Sony, although it appears similar to the Meta Quest 2. It also comes with two controllers, which you can use to navigate VR.

Hideaki Nishino, Sony’s executive director, said, “We want a headset to not only be an attractive piece of living room décor but to also immerse you in your game world until you almost forget that you are using a controller or headset.” said in a release.

According to the company, the new product will come with a lens adjustment dial that allows users to adjust the distance between the lenses in order for optimal viewing. This version has a thinner design than the previous one.

Nishino stated that PS VR2 will make a huge leap in how we play virtual reality games. He noted that it will be able to support 4K graphics and head-tracking.
