Europe launches Airbus-led military drone programme -Breaking

OCCAR, a procurement agency, has contracted for the design and manufacture of 20 medium altitude Long Endurance Systems and five years’ initial support.
After long delays, Mike Schoellhorn (CEO of Airbus Defence and Space) stated that Eurodrone would generate over 7,000 jobs in high-tech industries and help strengthen European industrial sovereignty. This statement was made following the signing which coincided with conflict in Ukraine.
Airbus is represented in Germany and Spain by Dassault Aviation, while Leonardo and Leonardo represent Italy by Leonardo.
