Meta Revealed AI Projects For Building the Metaverse

Mark Zuckerberg was the chief executive officer of Meta. Perhaps he is the greatest believer and influencer of the futuristic virtual universe, in which users can communicate, work and do almost everything online.

Meta’s AI labs progressed in research and development for the next era of computing and unveiled projects that are a part of the metaverse.

Meta introduced ‘BuilderBot’ – “a new tool to fuel creativity in the metaverse using voice commands.” Another development is ‘No Language Left Behind’ – a system that translates all written languages. The tech giant is also working on a ‘Universal Speech Translator’ that would instantly provide speech-to-speech translations for all languages. Project ‘CAIRaoke’ is the next conversational AI improvement for more fluid conversations between people and chatbots or virtual assistants.

“As we advance this technology further, you’ll be able to create nuanced worlds to explore and share experiences with others, with just your voice,”
Zuckerberg said.

Meta continues to develop tools that make AI systems easier to understand. ‘System Cards’ is the newest resource that explains how AI works. You can use it to see how Instagram ranks.

Meta’s Artificial Intelligence Learning Alliance (AILA) aims to “strengthen diversity and increase equity in the field of artificial intelligence” and make learning available to everyone through Blueprint.

The company also introduced ‘TorchRec,’ a library for recommendation systems that personalizes products (such as Facebook (NASDAQ:) news feed).
