However, the bloc can protect its economies from further inflation.
Lindner spoke in advance of the meeting of European finance ministers in Paris, which will focus heavily on Russia’s invasion and subsequent fallout.
Lindner, when asked about the possibility of additional sanctions being imposed on Russia to go above those already agreed upon by EU leaders, reiterated that they were considering all possibilities.
