(Reuters] Bank of Nova Scotia stated Friday that employees will be allowed to return from Canada on a voluntary basis starting March 14, when COVID-19 curbs have been lifted.

“The gradual and phased entry into the office, which will be starting on April 11, is going to take place over ten weeks, with various teams returning on different dates,” Barb Marshall, Scotiabank’s chief HR officer and group leader, stated in a statement.

According to the bank, most employees will be working on a mix basis.

Scotiabank’s plans for returning to office come a few weeks following the announcement by rival Bank of Montreal that it would bring employees back into the office. It is now the largest Canadian lender.

Due to the Omicron variant COVID-19, most banks in Canada were forced to delay their plans for the back-of-office. https://reut.rs/3BTlBl6
