Toshiba CEO resigns amid growing opposition to restructuring plans -Breaking

TOKYO (Reuters) – Toshiba (OTC) Corp on Tuesday announced that Satoshi Tsunakawa, the Chief Executive, will resign due to increasing opposition to its controversial restructuring plan.

Taro Shimada will take over as the head of the company, having been a senior executive with Germany’s Siemens AG. These appointments will take effect Tuesday.
